Zero Drop - Wide Toe Box - Pretty light - Flexible and thicker sole - VEGAN - UNISEX
Globetrotter pushes the boundaries of what you expect from barefoot shoes. With a TreeKnit™ wood fiber upper, it combines lightweight, extreme breathability and comfort for all-day wear from city streets to weekend adventures. The sleek, minimalist design goes with any outfit, and the premium eucalyptus fiber textile materials ensure not only comfortable softness and durability, but also easy maintenance. Globetrotter is not just a shoe. It's the new standard for modern everyday life.
Material
The Globetrotter upper is made from breathable TreeKnit™ material made from conifer fibers. The lining is made from eucalyptus lyocell fiber and the sole is made from natural rubber. The sneaker is fully vegan. The shoe includes a removable insole Comfort+.
Care
Clean the shoes of dirt with a brush or soft damp cloth and wipe dry. Use an impregnation regularly to help prevent dirt and moisture from entering the shoe and greatly prolong the life and appearance of the shoe.
PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Skinners Globetrotter is a good-looking barefoot sneaker that complements our sneaker range by offering a comfortable, truly breathable and also more cushioning option compared to many other sneakers. The vegan shoe uses advanced natural materials and the textile upper has a really comfortable, almost sock-like feel, where nothing rubs against your foot.
On a scale of thin-soled barefoot shoe - semi-cushioned - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I would rate the Globetrotter as semi-cushioned when used with its own insole. The total height of the sole of the shoe (cushioning) is 11 mm. You get more barefoot shoe feel when you remove the insole.
(Note! the manufacturer states the thickness of the sole as significantly thinner, but we use the total thickness, which also includes the shoe's own insole.)
Suitability for barefoot shoe beginners:
If you can slowly increase the amount of daily use (your steps), then you can take Globetrotters as first barefoot shoes - remember that patience is the key! Test different models and ask advice from the barefoot shoe experts!
Suitability for experienced barefooters:
Vegan Globetrotters are carefree even on slightly longer runs. Definitely more of a standard sneaker feel in terms of sole thickness than many of our other shoes, but the upper is very flexible. Long shopping trips, even on hard surfaces, are not quite as "athletic" as with very thin-soled barefoot shoes.
BAREFOOT SHOE FEATURES
Anatomic shape – The sneaker respects the shape of the feet. It creates roomy space for toes during movement, it prevents toes from being pressed or developing calluses.
Material flexibility – The flexible sole enables necessary movement. The feet are not restricted and strengthen naturally.
Zero-drop – The heel and front of the shoe are levelled. Thanks to this, the body posture and overall correction of the centre of gravity are improved
Adaptive sole – stimulates nerve endings. It strengthens balance, and awareness of terrain and it protects the feet
Lightweight – the sneakers are lightweight and with no arch, which prevents leg fatigue and supports the correct walking stereotype.
