Merrell's Vapor Glove fits your foot like a glove your hand, not only because of its name, but really! This is not about any compression, but about a natural extension of your feet. Being and doing with Vapor Gloves on your feet resembles barefoot activity as much as possible.

The Vapor Glove 7 is therefore a genuine barefoot shoe by all measures, also thanks to the thinness and flexibility of the sole. The grip is also excellent. On a scale of thin-soled barefoot shoe - semi-cushioned - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I would classify Merrell Vapor Glove as a "thin-soled barefoot shoe".

The appearance is not the main thing with this versatile shoe, but functionality. And that's where the Vapor Glove is at the top - often significantly cheaper than many other similar shoes. A perfect shoe for those who find the Vapor's features suitable.

Suitability for barefoot beginners

I don't recommend the Vapor Glove 7 as the first and only barefoot shoes if you want to immediately walk more and even faster with your first barefoot shoes. For a very calm walk, you can use shoes or even in the gym, but not hard heel strikes, not in a hurry and on asphalt! Harder walking/running with thin barefoot shoes requires different technique and strength and endurance on asphalt and they only come with time. Also, if you buy thick-soled barefoot shoes (minimalist shoes) then try Vapors from time to time. Test different models at the beginning and talk to the barefoot shoe experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters

This shoe is surely already familiar to you, even if you don't have it yet? Vapor Glove 7 have a real barefoot feel! Works like a dream both on the trails and on the city streets - as long as you don't pull an extra long walk on a hard surface with these!
