These are the most minimal shoes Merrell creates, featuring a Vibram® EcoStep outsole that wraps the foot to maximize grip and connection and leather upper for more casual look. Leather also keeps the water out of you feet way better than the textile version of Vapor Glove. The Vapor Glove 6 offers maximum lightweight performance in minimalist trail running and training design. Total stack height on these shoes is 6mm. Return to barefoot with the Vapor Glove 6.

Merrell's Vapor Glove LTR fits like a glove, not only because of its name, but really! This is not about any compression, but about a natural extension of your feet. Being and doing Vapors on your feet resembles barefoot activity as much as possible.

The Vapor Glove 6 LTR is therefore a genuine barefoot shoe by all measures, also thanks to the thinness and flexibility of the sole. The grip is also excellent. On the scale, pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - minimalist shoe (thick-soled barefoot shoe) I count Vapor LTR into the "pure barefoot shoe" category.

The Leather version of the Vapor is pretty cool looking! Sure it is more expensive than the textile version. The perfect shoe for those whom the Vapor is suitable for its features!

Suitability for barefoot beginners

I don't recommend the Vapor Glove 6 LTR as the first and only barefoot shoes if you want to immediately walk more and even faster with your first barefoot shoes. For a very calm walk, you can use shoes or even in the gym, but not hard heel strikes, not in a hurry and on asphalt! Harder walking/running with thin barefoot shoes requires different technique and strength and endurance on asphalt and they only come with time. Also, if you buy thick-soled barefoot shoes (minimalist shoes) then try Vapors from time to time. Test different models at the beginning and talk to the barefoot shoe experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters

This shoe is surely already familiar to you, even if you don't have it yet? Vapor Glove 6 LTR have a real barefoot feel! Works like a dream both on the trails and on the city streets - as long as you don't pull an extra long walk on a hard surface with these!
