PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

We have selected three excellent merino wool socks for you from Finnish Sukkamestarit selection for different occasions as follows:

  1. GETA - thin, wide and untightened merino wool sock. Ankle length. Your own size is enough for these. A thin merino wool sock that is both cool and warm (relative to its thickness) as needed. The best choice for a summer sock and a cooler sock with mid-season and winter shoes if not so cold weather. An excellent choice for indoor use all year round. Dress sock also. Ankle high.
  2. KLICKS - medium thick technical merino wool sock. Calf length/ankle length. Take your own or larger size depending on the volume of your feet. A good sports sock and a general sock for cooler weather. A step thicker and warmer than Geta.
  3. SUOMU - thick technical merino wool sock. Calf length. Take your own or larger size depending on the volume of your feet. Suomu socks are the best choice for the cold weather of winter and cold weather at other times as well. Note! when you choose winter shoes, it's good to test that they also fit with thick merino wool socks for the coldest weather.

"A good sock is half of the meal!" - a good barefoot shoe and its properties should not be ruined by the wrong kind of a sock! Merino wool loves your feet and your barefoot shoes both in summer and winter, as long as you choose the right type of sock.

Merino wool's superior properties as a sock material:

  • Merino wool keeps your feet dry! Merino wool has the ability to absorb the moisture of your feet, so your feet don't sweat at all compared to cotton socks and other materials.
  • Merino wool is an antibacterial material. Take the socks off in the evening and be amazed at how dry your feet are. Let the socks rest overnight and continue wearing them the next morning. Merino wool socks do not smell of sweat and washing after about 3-4 days of use is enough.
  • The same merino wool sock is both cool and warm depending on the situation, as long as the sock is somehow the right thickness for the weather. The range of use for a merino wool sock is much wider than of a similarly thick cotton sock - choosing a sock for daily runs is easy!
  • Merino wool socks don't irritate your skin like other wool blend socks often do.

Wool is a warm and breathable material. Sheep wool has excellent performance characteristics, as it breathes and insulates heat well. Self-renewing and biodegradable, natural fibre absorbs moisture well, does not wrinkle and straightens quickly. For wool products, airing rather than washing is sometimes sufficient. Wool is naturally fire-retardant, highly resistant to bacteria and mould.
