This model offers great rubber protection around the entire shoe to prevent water, wear and tear and soaking. Also the leather of the shoe naturally prevents the water to go inside. Top metal eyelet has been added for improved lacing, and the insole now boasts excellent absorbing properties. Time to hit the trails and what about jeans and Trailwalkers!?

PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Thanks to the thin and flexible sole, this wonderful and really chic trail shoe can easily be considered a pure barefoot shoe. On the other hand, the insole of the shoe provides several additional millimeters of cushioning with standard settings which is good in many situation. When you take the insole off, the feel of the ground is practically the same as in Merrel's Vapor Glove and that is absolutely great! The grip is also excellent. 

On the scale of pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - minimalist shoe (thick-soled barefoot shoe), I count the Trailwalker in the "pure barefoot shoe" category.

And how can a shoe be any more beautiful than this! A perfect shoe for those whom Trailwalker is suitable for its properties and users personal preferences!

Suitability for barefoot shoe beginners:

I don't recommend Trailwalkers as the first and only barefoot shoes if you want to immediately walk more and faster with your first barefoot shoes. If you are able to very moderately increase the amount of daily use, then you can then take the Trailwalkers as first barefoot shoes - models with thicker soles are a safer option for beginners in the beginning.

On the other hand, if you also buy thick-soled barefoot shoes (minimalist shoes) along with the Trailwalkers then you can try them more safely in the beginning. Test different models and ask advice from the barefoot shoe experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters:

Go ahead! There's something about Trailwalkers in their appearance (they definitely don't look like fivefingers) and a real barefoot feel! Works like a dream on the trails and also (on the feet of experienced barefooter) on the city streets!
