PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: 

This beautiful leather ballerina can be considered as a barefoot shoe due to the thinness and flexibility of the sole (9 mm). However, Belenka has made a compromise in terms of the appearance of the shoe and its comfort - the toe space of the shoe is by no means what it is in other Belenka shoes, but much narrower! That's why I don't recommend the shoe for those with a wide toe box. The shoe is also narrower elsewhere, and this is worth considering. The front of the shoe is also constructed so that it doesn't get bigger with use - CHOOSE A SIZE LARGER SOPHELIA than Belenka recommends (see size chart in the attachments)!

Shoe's insole is comfortable and grippy against the foot.

On a scale of pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I would classify Sophelia in the "pure barefoot shoe" category.

Suitability for barefoot shoe beginners:

Ballerinas are used selectively for different occasions and for chilling out with friends. If so, then even a beginner can put them on as long as they don't start rushing with their heels on the asphalt. You have to be careful with this shoe, it's not suitable for everyone in terms of both cushioning and width, but it is so stylish!

Test different models at first and talk to barefoot experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters

That's it! Timeless elegance and a much narrower toe space than normal barefoot shoes. Pay attention to this and there will be no surprises with Belenka Sophelia.
