PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This stylish and functional waterproof barefoot shoe can be counted as a true barefoot shoe in its own category (half-high barefoot shoe) thanks to the thinness and flexibility of the sole. Rangers own insole is thin and doesn't provide much additional cushioning to the bottom - putting a thicker insole underneath is an option you might consider if some more cushioning is needed. We recommend Be Lenka's own 6 mm ActiveBoost replacement insole!

The Ranger 2.0 model is designed not only for spring and autumn, but also for winter use thanks to its moderately insulating fleece lining. You can get more cold resistance to the shoe with woolen insoles and woolen socks in your feet. Good and grippy sole also in winter conditions. Leather as a material naturally repels water and the membrane in the shoe completes the waterproofing! By slightly adjusting the insoles and socks for different seasons, you can wear your Rangers almost all year round!

On the scale of clean barefoot shoe - hybrid model - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I count the Be Lenka Ranger 2.0 in the "pure barefoot shoe" category. By adjusting the insole and a thicker sock, you can make the model much more of a hybrid shoe when it comes to cushioning.

Suitability for barefootshoe beginners:

I don't recommend the Ranger 2.0 as the first and only barefoot shoes if you want to walk more immediately with your first barefoot shoes especially on a hard surface and using the shoe's own insole. If you are able to moderately increase the amount of daily use (walking), then you can take the shoe as a first barefoot shoe if your physique is sufficient - on the other hand, by adding a shoe with a thicker insole, the safety and comfort of use increases for a beginner. Ask us about Be Lenka's thick insoles!

Test different models at the beginning and talk to the barefoot experts.

Suitability for experienced barefooters:

The Ranger 2.0 has a bit more shaft and good water resistance and still feels like a genuine barefoot shoe! Works both on the street and off-road, no matter the weather. It also works great as a winter shoe.
