PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This elegant and feminine winter barefoot shoe can be considered a true barefoot shoe thanks to the thinness and flexibility of the sole. On the other hand, Olivia's own excellent merino wool insole provides quite a bit of additional cushioning compared to some other Be Lenka winter models, which have a significantly thinner insole.

A decent winter shoe also for very bitter cold! It won't get cold if you move a little bit and wear a woolen sock no matter what the weather. Leather as a material already naturally repels water, and by applying Collonil care spray even better.

PETRI'S TIP: the leather of the shoe stretches a lot when used. If the shoe squeezes a bit when trying it on, take the insole off. If the pressure stops, the leather of the shoe will stretch that much soon and the feeling is the same even when used with the insole.

On the scale of pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I count the Olivia in the "hybrid shoe" category. A thicker sock and also snow in winter means more cushioning.

Suitability for barefootshoe beginners:

If you are able to moderately increase the amount of daily use (walking), you can adopt Olivias as your first barefoot shoes. However, avoid heavy heel striking because the rubber of the sole is not the most cushioning - even if the thickness of the shoe with the insole is quite reasonable (around 14 mm alltogether).

Test different models at the beginning and talk to the barefoot experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters:

Olivia has excellent winter properties, timeless elegance and a genuine barefoot shoe feel! Works like a dream on city streets and in the countryside in moderate snow as long as you tie the shoe tightly. A great barefoot winter shoe also for the cold Finnish winter!
