PETRI'S PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

This simple, stylish and functional barefoot shoe can be counted as a true barefoot shoe in its own category (high-top barefoot shoes) thanks to the thin and flexible sole. Also, Nevada's own insole is thin and doesn't give more cushion to the shoe - if you wish, you can get it more by putting thicker insoles underneath yourself. I recommend Be Lenka's own 6 mm ActiveBoost replacement insole!

Winter use is also possible with woolen insoles and woolen socks even in -20 degree weather, just fine. Leather, as a material, naturally repels water, which makes Nevada work reasonably well in normal rain. Of course, the shoe will not hold water indefinitely. By adjusting the shoe, it can be used all year round when needed!

On the scale of pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I count Nevada in the "pure barefoot shoe" category. By adjusting the insole and thicker sock, you can make the model more hybrid if you want.

Suitability for barefoot beginners:

I don't recommend Nevada as the first and only barefoot shoe if you want to walk more immediately with your first barefoot shoes. Changing the insole to a more cushioning one (6 mm ActiveBoost) helps a lot, and also if you can moderately increase the amount of daily use (walking) little by little. Then you can use Nevadas as first barefoot shoes if your physique is sufficient - models with slightly thicker soles are, however, a safer and often better option for beginners.

Test different models and ask advice from the barefoot shoe experts!

Suitability for experienced barefooters:

Nevada has high cut and it is water repellent but it still feels like a barefoot shoe! It works great both on the street and a little off-road. It also works as a winter shoe.
