This wonderful and really chic sneaker can easily be considered a genuine barefoot shoe thanks to the thin outsole of 4 mm plus the pattern. The insole of the shoe provides hardly any more cushioning. We recommend Be Lenka's own 6 mm ActiveBoost replacement insole!

On the scale of pure barefoot shoe - hybrid model - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I count the Champ in the "pure barefoot shoe" category.

Suitability for barefoot shoe beginners

I don't recommend Champs as the first and only barefoot shoes if you want to walk a lot right away with your first barefoot shoes. With a thicker insole and if you are able to moderately and gradually increase the amount of daily use, then Champs can also be used as first barefoot shoes if your if your physical condition is sufficient to that - however, among our sneakers Belenka Barebarics Zing is a safer and better option for a barefoot shoe beginner.

Suitability for experienced barefooters

Go for it! There's something in the Champs in their appearance (they definitely don't look like fivefingers) and a real barefoot feel! Works great on the city streets!
