Saguaron ROAM I fits well on the foot, is spacious and feels like a real barefoot sneaker. “An instantly comfortable shoe” — that’s saying a lot about a shoe, but this one truly deserves it! The shoe is not bad priced either. ROAM I is suitable for both young and older people, feel free to try it!
The manufacturer states that the sole is 3 mm thick and the insole is 4 mm, but with the insole the total height of the sole is actually 10-11 mm. The ROAM I sole is also made of elastic rubber, which provides additional cushioning, so you shouldn't just stare at the millimetres.
On a scale of thin-soled barefoot shoe - semi-cushioned - thick-soled barefoot shoe, I would classify the ROAM I as a "semi-cushioned barefoot shoe".
Suitability for barefoot beginners:
You can buy the Roam as your first barefoot shoe, because it has reasonable cushioning even though the sole is not that thick. Of course, the shoe requires that you to pay attention on hard surfaces and avoid over-strike with the heel or else you may have problems. Take it easy at the beginning - no rushing on asphalt at first works best. If you need more cushioned shoes, you should get one at the beginning as well.
Suitability for experienced barefooters:
The Roam I is a good-looking, genuine barefoot sneaker, with more cushioning than most thin-soled barefoot shoes, but still not too much and a great feel for the ground. Since the price is not too high, you don't have to walk through the soles before you get new ones.
